About us

The administration layer for cross-border family protection

CareBridge is a digital Third Party Administrator for insurer-backed protection programmes โ€” helping employers, agencies, institutions and insurers extend affordable protection to workers' families back home.

Insurer-backed

We administer programmes on behalf of insurer partners โ€” never carrying risk ourselves.

Fixed-benefit

Defined benefits pay out on clear triggers, not open-ended reimbursement.

Cross-border

Built for workers and families who live and work in different countries.

Digital administration

Enrolment, records, payments, claims intake, bordereaux and insurer reporting.

Who CareBridge is

CareBridge is a digital Third Party Administrator / programme administrator for insurer-backed protection programmes.

We help employers, agencies, institutions and insurers extend affordable protection to the families of cross-border workers, including migrant workers, foreign domestic workers, OFWs and similar worker communities.

CareBridge is not a broker and we are not an insurer. We do not carry insurance risk, underwrite policies or advise customers on which insurance product to buy. Instead, we administer protection programmes on behalf of insurer partners โ€” helping manage enrolment, payment status, member records, named dependant details, claims intake, document collection, bordereaux and insurer reporting.

Our role is to make protection easier to access, easier to administer and easier to understand.

A different approach to protection

Traditional insurance often works on an indemnity basis. This means a claim is assessed against the actual financial loss suffered, with reimbursement linked to bills, receipts, expenses, limits, exclusions and adjustment.

That model can work well for many types of insurance, but it can also be slow, document-heavy and difficult to administer across borders โ€” especially when the worker, dependant, employer, insurer and claim documents may all sit in different countries.

CareBridge is designed around a simpler approach: fixed-benefit, parametric-style protection.

Instead of asking families to prove every cost or expense after something goes wrong, the programme can be structured to pay a defined benefit when a clearly stated event occurs โ€” such as eligible hospitalisation, critical illness or death of a named dependant.

That means the focus is on a clearer question: did the covered event happen, and does it meet the programme rules? If it does, the defined benefit can be processed according to the insurer-backed programme terms.

Built around clear triggers

CareBridge programmes are designed around simple, defined event triggers. For example:

  • a named dependant is admitted to hospital for an eligible period;
  • a named dependant is diagnosed with a covered critical illness;
  • a named dependant passes away and the required documents are verified.

This structure makes the programme easier to explain, easier to administer and easier for families to understand.

The benefit is not designed to reimburse every cost a family may face. It is designed to provide fast, practical financial support when a defined serious event happens.

Why this matters for cross-border workers

Many workers leave home to support the people who still depend on them back home.

But traditional protection often stops at the border. A worker may be employed in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia or the Middle East, while their dependant may be in the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka or another home country.

When something serious happens back home, families need clarity, speed and support โ€” not a complicated claims process built around reimbursement, negotiation and excessive documentation.

CareBridge is built for this reality.

CareBridge as the administration layer

CareBridge powers the administration layer for insurer-backed family protection programmes. We provide the digital infrastructure and operating process that allows these programmes to work at scale.

This may include:

  • digital enrolment;
  • named dependant registration;
  • payment status tracking;
  • certificate support;
  • claims notification;
  • claims document upload;
  • first-level claims completeness checks;
  • insurer referral and reporting;
  • bordereaux production;
  • programme dashboards;
  • customer and partner support.

The insurer remains responsible for the insurance product, policy wording, approved benefits and final claim outcome, unless specific authority has been delegated. CareBridge makes the programme work operationally.

A better claims experience

Claims are the moment that matters most. CareBridge is designed to make claims simpler to submit, easier to track and clearer to administer.

Rather than building the process around open-ended reimbursement, CareBridge structures claims around:

  • the named dependant;
  • the covered event;
  • the required documents;
  • the programme rules;
  • the defined benefit.

This creates a cleaner claims pathway for workers, employers, agencies, insurers and programme partners. No unnecessary complexity. No need to prove every expense. No confusion around what needs to happen next.

Designed for partners, not just policyholders

CareBridge is not just a worker-facing app or a website. It is a programme administration platform designed for the partners who make protection possible:

  • employers who want to support their workers;
  • agencies that support migrant and domestic worker communities;
  • institutions building welfare or social protection programmes;
  • insurers looking for scalable, digitally administered protection products;
  • claims and service partners who need structured data and clear workflows.

CareBridge can support embedded distribution through employers, agencies, institutions, remittance channels, insurer partnerships and other worker touchpoints.

Our position

CareBridge is not trying to be another traditional insurance intermediary.

We are building the administration layer for a simpler kind of protection programme โ€” one that is easier for employers to offer, easier for workers to understand, easier for insurers to support and easier for families to access when it matters.

Our approach combines insurer-backed capacity, digital administration and fixed-benefit, parametric-style programme design.

Because protection should not stop at the border.

Partner with CareBridge to build an insurer-backed, digitally administered protection programme for the families of cross-border workers.
